Deep and Meaningful Abstract Painting

As you can see, this figure has an unsettling air about it.  It represents the decline of civilization in the post-modern age.  I borrowed heavily from techniques used by medieval fresco painters.  An untrained eye can detect deep religious symbolism in the piece but one must have read the old testament in its original Hebrew or at least have an intimate knowledge of the Vulgate to really understand the meanings of most of the elements within the figure.   It would take far too long to walk you through the rich symbolism integral to the piece, just know that I intended for this abstract painting to be a physical manifestation of my relationship with the natural world.

I have been creating artwork of a most personal nature to help me cope with the hardships that I have endured. Only recently have I found the courage to submit it a public forum. Please do not criticize my magnum opus.  I do not think I can handle anymore nay-saying at this time. Be kind in your comments I am looking for positive reinforcement only.
